Detailed trip description:

Day 1: Strasbourg – Colmar

After arrival in Colmar via Strasbourg, you will get to enjoy a tour of the old European city, followed by dinner and an overnight stay. Your accommodation will be located at the center of Colmar or on the southern arm of the Wine Route in a beautiful 2- or 3-star hotel.

Day 2: Colmar – Riquewihr

Sightseeing in Colmar: the Maison Pfister, the 1438 Customs House, the “Little Tuscany“ of the historic city center with its canals, and the Unterlinden Museum with the famous Isenheim alter of Matthias Grünewald. After taking in the sights, you will be treated to an afternoon daytrip to Kaysersberg, the birthplace of Albert Schweitzer, as well as the walled wine village of Riquewhir. Wine tasting and a piece of Kouglof (Bundt cake) along with a tour with our favorite winemaker round off the trip. The day draws to a close with dinner at the hotel.

Day 3: Upper Rhine Valley

The beautiful wine villages of the Upper Alsace region lead to Ungersheim and the Cultural Heritage Museum. On your stroll through the region’s culture, take a look over the shoulder of a skilled artisan. Afterwards, you’re off to Mulhouse to visit the world’s largest collection of classic cars – the Automobile Museum of the Schlumpf brothers. All this is followed by dinner at the hotel.
