Detailed Trip Description:
Day 1: Basel – Basel Country Waterfalls – Freiburg
In this travel package, you will experience natural paradise in many different ways. The variety of flora and fauna is endless. Enjoy a view of the Alps, Black Forest, and Vosges Mountains. After your arrival in Basel, you will travel by bus to Reigoldswil, followed by a trip to the waterfalls (accessible via cable-car lift). You can get to know the breathtaking slopes of the Jura by bike and enjoy a relaxing or racy Trottinett ride down the mountain with the “Trotti” – four curvy kilometers of pure fun. At evening time, bus transfers are available to Freiburg im Breisgau. In the downtown bars, experience the special flair of student life and energy of this old university city. The day ends with overnight accommodation.
Day 2: Freiburg – Landau in Southern Palatinate – Wine in the Tuscany of Germany
After breakfast, set off on an interesting bus trip through the Rhine Valley towards Landau in Southern Palatinate. In Landau, the mid-size metropolis of the Southern Palatinate region, blossoms aren’t just found in the city’s numerous pathways and parks – the former fortress city lies between the gently rolling hills of the vineyards in a region that, thanks to its uniquely mild climate, experiences an additional month during the growth season. Landau is a city for settling down, shopping, studying and amusement. During a guided, entertaining segway tour, you will discover the virtues of the region. At a guided degustation, you will be introduced to the many secrets of wine-making. Ring out the day in a typical wine tavern and enjoy overnight accommodations.
