The main focal points of the Kunstmuseum Basel are paintings and drawings by Upper Rhine artists from 1400 to 1600, and art from the 19th to 21st centuries. In terms of 20th century art, the main emphasis is on Cubism, German Expressionism, Abstract Expressionism and American art from 1950 onwards.
