Kintzheim Castle

Situated not far from Haut-Koenigsbourg, Kintzheim Castle was first mentioned in 1270. Beautifully restored, the castle’s ruins, which consist of a round keep, stately living quarters, a vaulted cellar, a chapel, and Gothic and Renaissance windows, are a magnificent sight to behold. Today, the castle is home to the Volerie des Aigles or Flight of the Eagles experience – a gripping spectacle during which the world’s largest birds of prey fly completely free just a few centimeters from the audience.
