If you want to shop in Basel, you only need to go to the old town. From the busy Freie Strasse to the Marktplatz, from the Spalenberg with its small boutiques and fine shops, such as the world-famous Johann Wanner Christmas House, to Manor, the city’s oldest department store, you’ll find everything within just a short distance. Yet there are also great offers to be found in the small design shops and galleries in the districts outside the centre – such as in St. Johann or on Feldbergstrasse.
